My name is Jason Burke and I am a songwriter, recording artist, and bandleader based in Waynesboro, VA. My music is informed by the songs of 1960's and 1970's American and British rock and roll. I play and sing songs all over Central Virginia.
Jason Burke Band is on hold for now. There is a new project in the works, and the band is called Bunch O' Mugs. I am thrilled to be working with Rick Olivarez (Rick Olivarez Trio) and Marc Lipson (Midnight Buzz Band). On drums we recently had Stuart Gunter, who really tied the whole thing together. Saturday, October 10, we are grateful to have none other than Kent Raine (Mama Tried) joining us on the kit. See the calendar for more info! Today, October 4, Caroline and I will be a duo until 430 pm, when Rick Olivarez will show up and kick it up another couple of notches for us. See you at Pantops Community Church from 3-6 pm. We'll be indoors, but the taco truck (Tako Nako) will be outside keeping the tortillas nice and warm. Rock on!
Please feel free to send me a message via the "Contact Me" page! Be sure to read "What's New" as that will keep you up to speed not only on my shows but on some events that I host which feature some of the great talent circulating through the area.
